To maintain and enhance a legal product covering data protection, bank secrecy and regulatory outsourcing rules. Day to day duties involve liaising with counsel in multiple jurisdictions, updating and commissioning legal content, liaising with key clients and supporting marketing initiatives.
Skills and Experience
This position would suit a data privacy lawyer c2-8pqe with experience of top quality work for high calibre clients (ideally in the banking and finance sector). This experience could have been gained in a leading private practice firm or in-house. You should be able to demonstrate a strong understanding and interest in data protection / privacy legal and practical issues. as well as having excellent analytical skills and accurate attention to detail. This role will suit a lawyer with keen technical skills and the ability to analyse significant volumes of information and so ensure that information presented is of high quality, practical and consistent.
Ideally you will have experience of remote team working and be comfortable and confident working in a peer review system.
You will require strong technical and drafting skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a pro-active approach. Cross border experience is of particular interest, especially in a data protection context. Although data protection is the key skill, candidates who also have a corporate, compliance or employment background are of interest.
